I think when they scheduled mine they said it had to be within 48 hours for some reason? But mine was a Friday with the c-section on the Monday after. It was actually a bit weird I had to have bloods done then the pre op was a phone appointment then I had to go Back to pick up the meds they tell you about on the pre op appointment

48 hours xxx

Mine was 24 hours before 😊

Mine is booked 48hrs before, but I've had my date for a while

24 hours

48 hours before ☺️

Thanks all sounds like no matter where you are located the section was maximum 72 hours after pre op so that at least gives me an idea of my section date before they call me

Mine was done 9days before my C-section

Mines two weeks before :) preop Monday 12th and then section is 25th 🥰

My pre op was the day before, they took bloods and weighed me and gave me an omeprazole and anti sickness to take at 6am the morning of my section. I think sometimes you get a lucozade type drink but as I had gestational diabetes I didn’t have this xx

Mine was 5 days before my section x

@Ceri-Ann I notice you’re in Stafford - which hospital was this for please?x

@Lizzie this was for Stoke. I work at Walsall though and they like to do them 48 hours before (I believe newcross are the same as we follow the same guidance)

@Ceri-Ann amazing thank you I’m going to new cross and that was what I had heard within 48 hours which makes sense as I am 39 weeks exactly two days after my pre med date x
