Potty Training

My Lo Is 3 about to be 4 in March. I have been consistently trying to get her potty trained since March. She’s not grasping the concept at all. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks that everyone has given me and still no luck. At this point i think it may be a developmental issue. I’m not sure what to do. I’m crying as I’m typing this. Is anyone else having these same issues? What did you do? Should I have her evaluated ?

Girl same here… things I’m doing lately, 1. I have two potties around and move it to where we might be. 2. Padded underwear when we are home. (I’ve been trying to stay home more beer are always on the road) 3. I let him go on the potty and sit if it’s been more than 2 hrs 4. Always excited about it together 🤣 Number 1 I’d say we are there number 2 has been a hit or miss.

Daniel Tiger’s “If you have to go potty stop & go right way” episode and song was helpful for us. And reward system like one those potty training magnet charts you can get from Amazon. We got a dinosaur one since he was into dinosaurs. Hopefully that helps!

With my first one i had same issue, the day I told i will give you candy… if you poop it worked like charm. Whenever he poops i give him 1 M&M. Everytime he peed he tried to poop. 😉

I went with potty cars, as I wasn’t too keen on candy, and my kids don’t care that much about stickers. It may just be about finding the right motivation for her to want to do it? Before we got into actual training, I talked A LOT about all the people we know who use the potty, along with the promise of cool new underwear. It’s tough, hang in there!
