iCloud question

So I have iCloud set up for my daughter’s iPhone (which I hate that she even has but my partner made a deal with her and she got it for her bday) It includes restrictions & downtime. I have only allowed 4 apps to be used even if the downtime is on. But somehow she is still able to get onto messenger kids and other apps even though my settings forbid it? So what the actual fuck? Spent all night going through my settings and I can’t find anything that allows her to use them during downtime. I can see that she has been using her settings ALOT (like HOURS) so is there something in her settings that is helping her get around these restrictions? It’s pissing me off that she is being so untrustworthy & I’ll definitely deal with that too. I don't know how to help but have you tried to Google how to set up better restrictions on an iPhone for a child? I'm sorry you're going through this it sounds very stressful and frustrating. Good luck!

@Alexis I have and it’s absolutely useless! I’m sure I’ll work it out it’s just a cluster fuck trying to do it 🤣 on her Samsung tablet it’s so easy but on iPhone it’s so complicated cause you have to use iCloud instead of an additional app But Thankyou for your response! 🥰

I paid for a subscription to MMgaurdian because of this exact kind of situation. I believe it was $50 for a year. It works! My kid can't do anything he's not supposed to. Though he tries! I actually just grounded him from it this weekend besides talking to adults & keeping it on him so I can track his location at all times bc he can not be trusted. Which sucks because I want to trust him! He gets in his settings but can not override anything of mine. Also, it does allow you to block them from getting into their settings altogether if you want to.

Btw I googled it and they say it does work with iPhone. There are instructional videos. (My son doesn't have one even though he tried to convince his grandpa to buy him one after he purposefully broke his last phone with a screwdriver so we couldn't track his location & monitor him 😒 😂 kids🤦‍♀️)

@Annie honestly I’d be happy to pay for an app that actually does what I need it to do. I hate that she even has a phone!! She stayed up past her time lastnight even though my settings don’t allow her too I just can’t work out how she’s doing it!

That's why I ended up paying for one!! I tried all the free ones & the google family and they just didn't work well.

@Annie I use Family link on her Samsung device and it’s fucking amazing but phone ain’t the same
