Is your baby crawling?

My boy still isn’t crawling. And more worryingly he isn’t bearing his weight on his feet. I’ve been told to try standing him at the sofa and if after another couple of weeks he’s not ping it then I need to get the doctor to check him over. We do think it’s laziness, but it’s hard not to worry 😢

I’m in exactly the same boat and we keep getting told he’ll do it when he’s ready and then be doing exercises as well. He hates being on his tummy and just rolls over which is odd he used to love tummy time. He’s 10 months old now and still doesn’t bear wait on his legs and we’ve been told we’ve spoilt him by giving into him easily 😒 Look at everyone walking around you can never tell when they started crawling or walking, babies are all unique and they’ll do things when they’re good and ready x

Nowhere near!! I’ve been so worried as she is nowhere near crawling, hates tummy time and rolling, and isn’t weight bearing either. It’s so nice to hear she isn’t alone 🥹 I did read something an osteopath wrote saying that time on their back is just as good as tummy time and then I realised that for a couple months I’ve just been mostly sitting her up to play now she can sit unaided so I’ve started laying her back down again. She’s so chilled and content though that if she can’t reach something she just gives up and finds something else to amuse her 😅

@Bethaney I know and I never worried before but just get a lot of comments from family asking why he’s so late! I’m constantly being told how soon other babies walked! Not helpful lol x

@Emma my boy is like this! Since the day he could sit, that’s what he does. He’s also really good at playing and concentrating on what he has…. So isn’t getting bored quick and trying to move. I’m hoping it’s a sign of intelligence 😅 x

My LB is 10mo tomorrow and no signs of crawling! He does plant his feet but not for long! We have a jumperoo and he never weight bares/jumps in it until today it was the first time he just jumped properly and pushed his legs to stand - completely out of nowhere! I worry about it too but im trying to focus on the 'he will do it in his own time' its hard not to compare tho x

@Roisin we bought a jumperoo a couple of weeks ago for this reason! I was so against them but I feel like it might just help strengthen her legs and get her used to the feeling of standing. She likes to just bend her legs up whilst in it though, hopefully it will give her a kick up the bum to stand 😂

My first born didn't start crawling till he was 10/11 months and walking just after a year. But my baby girl is 9 months old and she's crawling, pulling herself to stand and just wants to walk. So I know how hard it is, when others keep commenting, although I never understand the point, as if they comment , something will change. What exercise are you doing? X
