Toilet break without anyone around to look at the baby?

How are we going to the toilet when no one is home to keep an eye on the baby? And how old are they? Currently i have my mother in law around but wont be here for long. My Lb is 4 months old. I am thinking of a high chair in the Loo for the Lo.

Before my baby could crawl she would stay where I left her so I would just pee when ever. Now I leave her in the play pen where she is safe or I play pick a boo with the door with her in her bouncer or chair.

I just take our bouncy chair in there with me x

I put my child in the cot if I want the toilet or if I need to shower while my husband works, or if I need to do things around the house. It's the safest place for them ☺️

I just pop my lo in the cot with some toys take the monitor with me.

Any safe space where they can’t fall or hurt themself. I just used to leave him lying on the floor at that point. As long as they can’t move or get hold of anything that can hurt them you don’t need to physically be able to see them just for the length of time it takes to go to the toilet.

My little one just lay on bath mat before he could roll and now I just sit him in his cot next door. I also have a cheap bouncy chair from Argos so I can have a shower x

@Alice Wilkins I did the same

In the beginning putting her in the crib to be safe while pee and taking shower when she falls asleep. Now putting her on play mat but still taking shower only when she sleeps. For future looking into playpan where she can be safe

I put mine in her rocker or on her play matt

I sit my little one in her bath chair she’s also nearly 4 months xx

I baby proofed the living room, put a gate on and left them in there whilst I went

I think you’re overthinking it. If baby is safe and happy then just leave them where they are…

Baby girl is 5 weeks old, if she’s in her Moses basket or snuzpod then that’s where she stays when I pee, i just keep the door open so i can hear her if she cries or whinges, but we live in a flat so its easier cause she’s in a room close by! X

Before they could move on a playmat in the middle of the living room floor, when they could move on the floor in living room with stair gate shut. Now that they’re 2&3 we all go together and have lovely family time in the bathroom because heaven forbid I pee in peace 😂

Im deffo not taking my kid in the toilet with me, I leave him on his play mat with his toys and just leave the bathroom door open so I can hear anything, they don’t need to come everywhere with you they can be left x

I put my son in play pen when can sit or moses basket when was a baby

Baby is nearly 8 months and crawling and I still leave her on her play mat in the living room (mostly baby-proofed). The toilet isn't far at all and with enough toys around her and the sofa in reach she generally either sits where she is playing or spends the time pulling herself up to stand using the sofa. I leave the bathroom door open so I can hear her too but there's only so much mischief she can get up to in max 2 minutes at the moment but she is getting faster. We're setting up her room to be completely baby-proof/safe as she's getting a floor bed so once that's done I'll just pop her over the baby gate into her room.

In the cot, or play mat baby proofed or bouncer. Bathroom isn't far and we live in small flat so it's safe.

I have a changing mat in my bathroom so I usually lay my little boy on that whilst going to the toilet. Unless he’s already in his bouncy chair, in which case I carry that in with me.

I wouldn’t do a highchair but maybe a bouncer or something, I would put mine in hers while I showered/had a wee - so she could see me and me see her with some toys she was happy as Larry

Mine is also 4month and I just pop her anywhere that she won’t fall. Could be her cot or play mat

My kids are 4 1/2 years old & 12 months old. I literally just go to the toilet 😂

Ha ha I regularly take mine with me 🙈

I use to put my baby back in his cot and he would stay there in the same spot.

If baby isn’t rolling or crawling then on play mat with bathroom door open. If baby is on the go then on high chair with some toys in tray

I usually leave my baby in her swing chair or in the crib

We put a travel cot on each floor for our son for safety when I would need the loo etc and got a large playpen for play room. It’s better to have them in a secure safe space already because you don’t know how quickly they will start to be on the move!

I used to put my baby in his chair and sit him on the landing infront of the door lol x

I leave my boy in his bouncer or on his play mat. When he was tiny I would take his bouncer in the bathroom while I showered too.

My little boy is almost 7 months and I leave him in his highchair downstairs and he's always fine xx

Thanks everyone for taking the time much appreciated xx

I just put my newborns in the cot. If they cry they cry. As my eldest got older and more mobile I’d take her and sit her in the floor or again put her in the cot. If I needed a shower I put her in her bouncer in the bathroom but I generally had a shower before hubby went to work or waited till he got home

Leave them in a seat or the bassinet in the lounge and going to the toilet in peace 😅
