Tips for wind

Hi guys My little girl is 4 weeks tomorrow, any tips for helping her with wind? She seems so uncomfortable and moans every time we put her down in pain. She goes red trying to push out lower gas and is fussy when she feeds if she has it. We do the usual burping after breastfeeding/ bottle feeding and try different movements of her legs but this has limited effect. Any tips I’d be grateful, hate seeing her so uncomfortable!

I’m sure you’ve tried it but tummy massage and back massage, starting at the top and moving downwards specifically, helped with my son. Tummy time also used to get up a burp, and baths helped with the pain and helped relax him to pass wind. Moving their whole hips around to create movement inside their body as well. So hard seeing them in pain isn’t it!

My boy is 4 weeks too, he gets lots of wind and is exactly the same, baths are amazing at relieving pain and helping them to poo! Also try light tummy massages and bicycle kicks with the legs and keep them upright where possible, my boy loves sleeping on my chest on his front. You can also try gripe water now that little one is 4 weeks old. Xxx

Infacol, walk around with her, massage her legs.

Thanks everyone! I will try tomorrow with the gripe water and will keep doing the massages/ leg kicks etc I have noticed bathing helps too!! X

Infacol has helped our nearly 4 week old and also baths help relax him and he usually passes gas or bowel movements x

Bath helps our girl a lot! It gets their legs moving and frees everything up down there!

My girl is also 4 weeks nd exactly same we are trying Kendamil drops

My lil boy is 5 weeks tomorrow and I noticed gripe water before or after feeds and giving him a bath at night helps ofcoz with the messages sometimes

I’ve just got some biogaia probiotics to try as infacol didn’t nothing for us
