Hospital bag

Anyone else confused on what sizes to pack due to baby’s estimated weight? Had a scan yesterday at 33 weeks and they said 5lb 4😬 so now I’m thinking do I need to pack more 0-3 outfits than newborn/first size?! Help 🤣..!

I’m packing 3 of newborn and 3 of 0-1month stuff. She was 5lb 10oz at 36 weeks so quite average. Just pack a few!! My first was 7.9lb at 41weeks but he was so long and had big feet! Some newborn didn’t fit xx

Yes, I've just done a mix because some of the newborn stuff I got goes to 10lbs and others to 7.5lbs but I didn't realise!!

I’m packing tiny baby as my baby is tiny 😂 even my son was I packed newborn and 0-3 and I had to send my partner to the shop to get tiny baby . He was 6 pounds 6 oz , probably 4 months old when he could fit into 0-3 😂. I think you will be more than fine with just newborn and first size .

Honestly just pack newborn/first size my daughter was 9 n half pounds n still fit newborn this my son measured about 5lb at 28 week scan n iv still onky packed newborn

Newborn is generally up to 7lb O-1 month is 7 to 10lbs and O-3 months is 10 to 14lbs So unless you’re expecting a big baby over 10lbs you should be fine with newborn and 0-1 months 🥰

Up to 1 month id say

I'm not getting any scans after my 20 week, so I have no idea of predicted size but I have packed newborn and 0-1 as I'm hoping she won't be bigger than 10lb!

I'm confused as weather to pack.tiny baby!

Newborn clothes fit up to 8ibs, and 3 months fits up to 12.5ibs. So if you sort of play it by ear at your next scan, and do a rough estimate at around half a pound per week until birth, hopefully you'll be able to pack what you need x

I know they say the weight on them, but my first born was 9lbs 6oz and he fit into newborn for a good few weeks! I would pack a variety just in case x

I had a 9lb2oz boy as my first and he fitted NB until he was 4 weeks old. I’ll be packing NB size for this second baby 😊 Unless they’re projected to be over 10lbs I wouldn’t consider packing 0-3m in the hospital bag

My boy was estimated 4lb 5oz at 31 weeks. I’ve packed newborn which is up to 7.8lb and up to 1 month which is up to 10lb so should be covered. Size 0-3 is up to 14lb and I think that’s very unlikely!

I’ve packed just 0-3 months I’m being induced in just under 2 weeks so will be 37+4 when I had growth scan couple days ago he was weighing in at 6lb12

My first was 7lb12oz and was in tiny baby for a week then newborn for at least a month after that x

It all depends on the shops you've bought the clothes from tbh, the weights they cover upto aren't really accurate. My daughter was 8lb 8oz & was in newborn, first size & upto 1m for atleast 4/5wks - we packed 0-3m & it was drowning her as we needed to dress her in that to come home from the hospital. But different shops cater to different sized babies (weight & length). My advice would be take a mix of sizes to cover all angles. My son is measuring on the bigger side & I've still packed newborn, upto 1m etc x

I’m 32 weeks and baby is 5lb5 estimated I’m just packing newborn as I had newborn with my last 2 at 7lb11 (she was in tiny baby for a few weeks as newborn drowned her) and 8lb14 was in newborn still a bit big this is my 3rd

I would always go with newborn the weights aren’t accurate at all, my boys were 9.13 and 9.5, my girl 7.14 and next newborn up to 7lb was big on them all xx

Remember their estimates are often way out so don’t rely on them too much. My daughter was 8lbs 1 when she was born so not huge but a decent size. I only had newborn sized clothes for her in my hospital bag and they were all too small. But 0-3 months was so baggy it was unsafe. This time I’m measuring bigger than I was with her so bringing a couple of newborn just in case and then 3 up to 1 month options.
