I've seen mine twice (would have been once but baby wasn't quite back to birth weight so she came the week after again) and next visit is when baby is 6 weeks. They should book their next visit with you when they're with you in person! Makes life easier
We had two visits, we were meant to have three but no one showed up the last one. And then we had one between 9-12 months.
Have you had to contact them or do they contact you
They don’t see you from being a newborn until the baby is about a year. They will send an ages and stages questionnaire and make an appointment shortly afterwards. However if you have concerns or need advice you can contact them in the meantime.
I had a visit before baby was born. Then one visit after birth and then I had a Microsoft call at 1 year age and I had a questionnaire to fill out and we went through answers on a video call. They contact you. And yes there are basically no checks whatsoever for baby or how they're developing physically etc.
We had one come every month as LO was subject to a care order before we got a court order for him to live with us. The last time they came he was 7 months and said they’d be back out for his development check at 11 months so I’m not sure how often they’re supposed to come x
It sounds like you've had all the standard reviews you should expect. You'll have one at 9-12 months and 2-2.5 years. They'll contact you. Health visitors don't do much except signpost you to other professionals, in my opinion. If you have concerns though obviously contact them or your GP.
Thank you all for your comments, it’s just shocking to me how they don’t come like the way they do in Ireland which is every 3 months, anyway thank you all for letting me know xx
Hey they only been to me once my girl is now 5 weeks and 5 days we then got told at the first appointment they come out again at 8-10 weeks and we got a letter to say there coming end of Dec x
