Formula

My four month old has been constantly throwing up every time after feeding and no matter what I try to do to make him hold down his formula It never seems to work and I think now he’s getting constipated so I want to know from your mothers. what is a good recommended formula. Currently he is using Similac sensitive. I believe he may have acid reflux, but I will be asking his provider about it as well when his appointment comes up.

Maybe try Enfamil, gentle ease

We use Enfamil AR! It’s a rice based formula that helps with spit up and sensitive tummies- it was recommended to use by our pediatrician. She had been on Enfamil gentle ease but had a lot of projectile vomits- not every feed but enough to be concerning! The formula change helped us a ton ☺️

My daughter was constipated for a bit so our pediatrician recommended to use enfamil reguline and it worked very well now she poops normally I don’t know if you would like to give that a try

I’ll definitely ask his pediatrician about all these formulas. But what’s your opinion on Kendamil formula? Do you guys think that could be a good one also since it’s goat milk based?

I’m not familiar enough with it to have an opinion 😕 if lactose is the issue then I’m sure it would help but spit ups aren’t necessarily always caused by a milk allergy or intolerance! Enfamil AR still has cows milk in it- it just has rice starch in it as well which makes it thicker to prevent spitting up!

When is the appointment? That sounds pretty serious they’re throwing up that much I would make an appt sooner if it’s not within the next few days. My son takes medicine for acid reflux and we had to try a few different formulas. My daughter used gentle ease and they worked for her but not my son and we finally were able to find one and it’s similac total comfort.

@Cassandra his appt is on Tuesday

Perfect!!
