We have a night routine where we play while he drinks his milk then I put him in bed, let him cry for a few minutes then he falls asleep. When he cries in the middle of the night, I let him cry until he falls back asleep, now he sleeps through the night in his crib.
Usually cuddles and a milk cup. And he's been in our bed. But last night he slept in his big boy bed the entire night for the first time ever!
@Emily 10.5 HOURS???????? Howww help 😩😩😩
We just switched to a toddler bed to downsize and make room for the bassinet. Having a little girl in December. She will fit the bassinet until we need to move in the spring so we sold the big bulky crib.
For potty training boys, I've heard you want to train them by having them sit backwards on the little kid toilet because you train for poo first before you train them for peeing, so for peeing have them point the little penis down

Reccomendation to use a potty attachment rather than a separate toilet, though, a separate toilet may be good for travel ( or bring a small attachment that you can add to bathroom toilet seats )
( as you are potty training, since you can't use anything between your child and the car seat without voiding the warranty.... No pun intended.... For 99 percent of car seats)
Suggested to wait to potty train until they have all signs of readiness
We still nurse, he sleeps on our bed with us some, in his mini crib some ( he will be rooming with us at least until we move .... Which will hopefully be in April.... Possibly longer, likely to do a slow transition of having his own room once we do move )
( he'll be 17 months on the 21st)
Use that instead of a separate toilet if you want less toilets to clean
We’re waiting until 18 or 20 months for potty training. Before bath though, we sit him on the toilet in case he needs to go so he’s not peeing in the tub. As for sleeping, he’s been in his crib since 6 months. We were using Taking Cara Babies and the Ferber method for sleep training and had success.
As to sleep training I believe in responsive sleep training and use of comfort measures and personally couldn't do cio or cio lite, aka Ferber, though at least Ferber is a lite version..... It breaks my heart every time he has cried and fallen asleep because I was busy doing something that I could not wear him for .... So it was a nap or short sleep out of exhaustion and tired of waiting for someone who wasn't coming. But he is our sweet little buddy and it breaks my heart whenever he cries at all, tbh

We start my son's bedtime routine at 7:45 pm with both my husband and I have 15 minutes of uninterrupted playtime and let our son lead in the activities, whether it's books, chasing, wrestling, blocks ect. Then at 8 pm it's bath time, maybe 10 minutes. Then it's pull up, and jamies, then he goes to dad and says night while I make up a milk bottle. I then give him a bottle, short book, burp him, sign his goodnight song beautiful boy, lay him in his crib, do a good night prayer, go through affirmations, tell him that he's so great at being Dario, I'm so happy I get to be his mam, I love you good night and blow him a kiss.
I turn the lights down and we cuddle in bed until he falls asleep which usually happens within a few minutes. He still sleeps in our bed but hoping to transition him out soon. We haven't attempted any potty training yet.
I’ve never rocked him to sleep, he knows it’s bedtime when he’s put in his crib
I nurse my son to sleep and then put him in his crib in his own bedroom. He usually sleeps through the night (10.5 hours). He often naps in my bed though. It’s hard to get him to nap in his crib. We haven’t started potty training. I’m too intimidated to start! 🫣
