Private rooms at Liverpool Women’s?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I can’t figure out how to search in this group. I’m due in April 2025 with baby #2 and I honestly had a horrendous time on the post-delivery ward at the Women’s. The whole ward was so rowdy and so noisy that I was shattered after being awake for nearly 3 and a half days as I was induced. I can’t find an answer online so wondering if anybody knows if you can pay for a private room to go to after giving birth or if there are any other options? Thanks xxx

I asked my midwife this week and she said if rooms are available they go to women who need them more eg more care/baby needs it etc. Unfortunately you cant ask anyone apparently. I asked the same and even said can you pay because I would have. Down to yours or the babies needs apparently. Hope that helps.

Could you enquire about delivering at Arrowe park? We had private room there, maybe because I had a C-section section though

I didn’t ask but got a private room at the women’s, I think it just depends on time and circumstances of your birth x

I had a water birth at the women’s and I was on the midwifery led unit and had a private room after as I was low risk and was quick labour but I think just depends on your circumstances when your in labour. Hope that helps xx

I had my LO in August and begged for a private room offered to pay and everything as I had been in admitted to hospital the week before she was delivered due to preeclampsia and the lack of sleep was horrendous the other women I was on the wards with where loud 24/7. then had to stay in 6 more nights after due to her being prem & born under 5 pounds. We where stuck on a ward with 5 other beds where families where staying less than 24 hours before being discharged and listening to the discharge speech repeatedly broke me down to the point of tears several times and I still wasn’t given a room. Xx
