I was in for monitoring on Monday and had tightenings then whilst being monitored but I couldn’t feel them, was sent home they weren’t concerned at all x
Thank you hoping baby stays in longer however I’m really not well so now waiting on a doctor to see what we are going to do
Best of luck!
I have to go for monitoring twice a week due to pre-eclampsia. Quite a lot of the time my toco can go up to the high 30s and they're not concerned even when I'm feeling it. It's just a measure of your uterus contracting and it can be down to the monitor being tight, baby moving, Braxton hicks etc.
Hey, don’t worry about the pink number going higher. Doesn’t mean your contractions are getting stronger, just shows how good the contact/recording is. Good that you’re comfy and not feeling them. Sometimes it records uterine irritability from UTIs/painless tightening like braxton hicks, baby moving etc as it’s detecting pressure. if there’s any concerns they might keep you in for a day or 2 just to monitor and make sure things don’t ramp up, but if there’s an explanation such as a possible UTI I’d imagine they’d give you antibiotics and you’ll be off home again (just examples though, obviously don’t know the full history for you and every trust is different!)
I will say though, from what I can see of baby’s heart tracing, he/she looks very happy in there 😘
@Clare they keep finding glucose in my urine as of last week, constant headaches, swollen legs, throwing up, flushed face, and pain near my ribs as well as high blood pressure. Glad it looks like she’s okay though. They have no idea what’s causing it all as every test comes back as clear 🙈
Sounds like pregnancy induced hypertension possibly, if they’ve sent a urine off to check the protein content and it’s normal too. they’ll probably want to keep a close eye to make sure it doesn’t progress, especially with you having symptoms. They might introduce meds to lower your blood pressure, depending how high it is. Baby’s trace is beautiful though, so they clearly aren’t bothered at the moment!
@Clare this. My toghtenings were 100+ on toco and having to breathing through them and I still was sent home 😅😅
They just found I have a dvt and have to have injections every 12 hours. I’m so scared and if I didn’t fight them to check me properly I could have died. I’ve made them let me go home as I just need to give my son a cuddle
@Alana haha typical isn’t it! Hope you’re doing ok xx
Ah how scary for you, pleased they found out what it is and you’re getting treatment though x
I was on this monitor the other day and saw that bottom left number go over 40 a few times and nobody batted an eyelid? I was there just for movement monitoring. I have braxton hicks every now and again. They didn’t say I was having contractions 😂 I hope not as that was nearly a week ago …
No. I've been up twice for tightenings q mins apart and 1 minute longs and babies definitely still tucked up in there. Sorry! On the other hand, when I went in with my last son I was contracting every 20 mins and didn't know, took him home 24 hours later 😅
