Hello Ladies, I have just been told my cervix is 26mm. The doctors want to wait annd see but I am getting very nervous. Anyone with similar measurements and what was the treatment prescribed?

Just found out mine is at 8mm, 26weeks here. They started me on progesterone and I am out of work for 2 weeks until I go for a recheck

Hi, my cervix was only 22mm at 12 week scan. I went back in at 13 weeks to have a cervical cerclage (stitch) put in. It was removed at 37 weeks. I had 4 days of trying to be induced / sweep / propes / prostin etc, before electing for a c-section at 38 weeks as my cervix would not open to allow a cook balloon to be placed. My baby girl is 3 weeks old n Monday & I am forever grateful for that stitch being put in! Good luck! đź©·

Mine was 25mm at 18 weeks. Was prescribed Cyclogest (progesterone) pessaries to take twice a day til 34 weeks. Had scans every two weeks since 18 weeks and it hadn’t shortened - stayed the same if not slightly longer by 24 weeks. No more scans just the pessaries til 34 weeks 🤞🏻

With my first, I was 20mm at 16 weeks and got my stitch at 20 weeks as an emergency (the private doctor I was seeing didn't get me any treatment) and then in my 20-week NHS scan, they were very concerned that I wasn't on treatment and put me in pessaries that day (Friday) and was in theatre on Monday for the stitch. This second time, I was 30mm, but the doctor advised me to have the stitch regardless as a precaution. And also pessaries. It has shortened with the stitch, and I'm now at rest (low physical activity, but not bed rest) until 34 weeks with pessaries also.

How far along are you? I only got mine checked at 20wks and was 26mm too. They then checked again at 24wks and I was the same. They put me on progesterone but they're not too concerned as it's borderline. Anything under 25mm is considered short apparently!
