Wanting another baby

I want another baby. I'm about to turn 38, and I want to have another soon. My daughter will soon be 20 months. With me getting older, I hear people say they have a harder time getting pregnant. I know that with my daughter, it took us a couple of months. I know my husband would say, "Let's wait a little longer." Although with be having fibriods real bad with my daughter (my only child), what happens if we are not as lucky the 2nd time around and have to try again. Has anyone had this issue or something similar?

I think it really varies. I'm pregnant with our third at 38 and it happened fast this time. I have a friend who is a similar age and has been trying for a bit. You could always talk to your husband about trying now in case it takes time, but to also be prepared if it doesn't take long.

It’s difficult, our son is 3 & we started trying a few months ago & I’m finding it hard as it happened so fast last time. Is it due to be being 35? Who knows. What are you waiting for I say! Best of luck x

I'm 36 with 2 fairly large fibroids. Had my daughter via c-section March 2023 then got pregnant 6 months later with my son who was born June 2024. We had some difficulty conceiving my daughter but I got pregnant with my son 1 month after I stopped birth control. No complications from the fibroids during either pregnancy.

@Nilo my fibriods from my pregnancy with my daughter one was very huge bigger than a cantaloupe the other two were as big as a tomato. So had to have surgery afterwards to get them removed. 6 months later went in and they saw 2 more 🙄 so I'm just stressing that it could be difficult since I was such high risk the first time.

@Sophie yeah I just worry due to my age and medical history of fibriods.
