I doubt your milk is going down, my 6 week old has been doing the same and cluster feeding. It’s probably a growth spike, they may be doing this to increase the milk supply. I’ve given the odd bit of formula too to make sure she’s satisfied but she doesn’t take much of it. Keep trying, it concerned do you have a breastfeeding clinic you can attend? Have you had tongue tie checked ? X

I got this quite a lot at 6 weeks and it’s less now at 8 weeks. Feeding specialists have said it’s often to stimulate supply and get us producing more, and at the same time baby getting a bit frustrated if the flow is slow. Which makes sense as we make the most milk in the night time so flow is faster in the mornings. It did get better!

My little one did too... It may be due to the 6 week growth spurt or leap. I would guess it'll be that she's feeding lots... Don't worry your supply will catch up in a few days. If you want to just breastfeed it's best to avoid top ups as it'll affect your supply. It's all about supply and demand just it takes up to 3 days for you to match your baby's requests.

@Naomi heyy, yeah i think she is clustering feeding. i checked for tongue tie and shes all good. i have a someone coming over from breastfeeding clinic, hopefully that resolves everything 🩷

@Anna thanks lovee, just going to keep trying 🩷🩷

Hi, my 7wo does this too while breastfeeding and it’s normally when he’s tired and just wants to nurse to sleep. I would try playing some white noise near him while feeding and it will calm/sooth him so he can feed. This works really well for us. I doubt it’s a supply issue -more likely fussiness due to being tired x
