IUI/IVF

Hi everyone! My partner and I have completed all our fertility testing including a tube assessment and seems like we have u explained infertility. Our Dr previously spoke about doing two rounds of medicated IUI (we’d be funding this) before moving to IVF. Anyone else had a similar experience or let me know what to expect? 😬 I’m trying to be hopeful about one day getting a positive result but after 2 years it’s really hard to remain upbeat!

I have PCOS and I completed 2 failed medicated IUIs before moving on to IVF. Good luck to you. Hoping the IUIs work for you!

Hi! We had a similar experience. 3 IUI rounds this year (the first one was a chemical pregnancy). After that we decided to move to IVF. The plan is to do the eggs retrieval in December and 2 rounds of implantation in January and February. I really hope that we only need one round as we are going to do an ICSI + embryo genetic analysis. I wish all the best in your process and I pray that you won’t need IVF

@Marina good luck with your egg retrieval. I just had my first egg retrieval on Tuesday and planning frozen transfer in January.

I have two kids, each conceived through IUI! It can definitely work for some and is worth a shot to save the money that IVF costs!

@Patrice we are together in this journey! I’m praying for you!!

I have PCOS. We ended up doing 3 IUIs. All were unsuccessful. We ended having to go the IVF route. I did get pregnant after our first frozen embryo transfer. We are getting ready to do another one in February. Good luck!

@Marina thank you! I cant wait for our bfps! Praying for you!

@Meghan im not far from you. Will be having my first FET in January.

@Patrice that’s exciting! Good luck!

@Meghan thank you ❤️ good luck to you as well

I have actually never heard of a successful IUI outcome. I would to straight to IVF (ICSI if you can) to save the heartbreak, time and money All the best!🤞🏻☺️

I have had 4x failed IUI , 3x natural and 1x medicated Some people I know have had successful IUI and some not so I would say whatever you feel up to emotionally and financially, please do🙏🏽 all the best sending lots of baby dust your way and keep us posted on what you do ❤️

I went straight to IVF. And this time round it just means I can go straight to FET. While IVF is more brutal on the old body, it has the progesterone etc to help keep baby sticky!!

@Patrice was two cycles recommended or your choice? Best of luck with your transfer 💕

@Marina thank you for sharing your experience! wishing you the best of luck💓

@Grace oh wow!! Do you have any tips for success or do you think it was just luck?

Hi everyone, firstly thank you so much for sharing your experiences, everyone’s is so varied! I was planning some down time over the festive period, take a holiday in January and then look to start IUI in February/March time. My PMS symptoms usually start a week before my period, this cycle it had been just over a week and I thought ‘screw it lets pee on a stick’ (I usually avoid this because it results in a lot of tears when there’s a negative). Imagine my utter shock when two lines appeared?!?! I can’t even believe it. Over 2 years, 21 months since I miscarried and when I was losing hope. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much, taking things gently, not getting carried away but I’m so grateful to even get the two lines 🥹

@Lauren my doctor recommended 2-3 IUI cycles before going to IVF so we completed 2 and moved on to IVF

@Lauren omg so you’re pregnant? It happened naturally for . So happy congratulations 🙏🏽❤️

@Nicola yes and yes 🥹🥹🥹 I’m trying not to think too far ahead because of last time and I think I’m still in shock 🤣 I think I maybe had a blockage or something and the hycosy flushed my tubes! Thank you so much 🥰
