Bottles, breakfast and milk

I feel like I’m failing massively. I’ve been trying for the past month to get my now one year old to drink from non teated bottles but she just won’t take her milk in them so I end up giving her a bottle. She’s also not a fan of breakfast and only wants a bottle. Help

If she's happy then I wouldn't be fussed. She's still a baby. My girl has bottle for bed and then a beaker in the mornings.

My little boy is 14 months in a couple of days and he still has milk in a MAM bottle. He has water from a straw cup but won’t have his milk from one. We’ve tried but he just doesn’t want to so I don’t push it. He says quite a few words so I’m not worried about speech delay or anything like that, just surviving with what works xx

Aw, You’re not failing at all! My son still has his milk from bottles, we tried a cup but because he’s used to having water from them I think he was just confused. If they’re happy for now I wouldn’t worry. My son normally has his milk around 6am and breakfast between 7.30/8.30 so depending on timings you could try extend the window so they’re hungrier but if they aren’t then you can’t force them, they’ll take what they need 🤍

My HV said to try and get them off bottles by 18 months so we have time. My baby only takes milk in a bottle still.

Please try not to worry, after 2 babies (who both struggled with milk) I really don’t see what the fuss is about for getting rid of bottles… they’ll move on in their own time. Personally I don’t offer milk in the morning and go straight to breakfast. Would just offer a bit of milk on the side in a sippy cup if they wanted some. Still do bottle before bed, occasionally naptime if she’s not eaten much lunch.
