Bf and bottle

My 8 week old is becoming increasingly fussy on my breast. She is mainly bf with one bottle in the morning so that her dad can feed her. The fussier she gets the more bottles she will end up having. Has anyone else experienced this?

I went through the same exact thing!! It can be a nursing strike here’s some helpful info https://llli.org/breastfeeding-info/nursing-strikes/

Please push through mine lasted 2 weeks with baby and I just continued to offer boob and pump etc . Offer breast while they’re sleepy and when not hungry as heck. He’s now back to breast thank god good luck

Could be bottle preference, it's easier to drink from a bottle and more work from the breast. Also, around 3-4 months our breasts transition from "instant availably" to "babe, you've got to work a little harder now". My advice? Cut the bottles completely, if you want to continue with your BF journey.

When did you introduce the bottle? Does the bottle have the same flow as your breasts? Is the bottle breastfeeding friendly? Look up nipple confusion.

@✨Wis 🇭🇹 I've heard it's not confusion. They know. Bottles are just easier to drink from so they create a preference.

@Kirsten it can be one or the other depending on how baby is acting

@✨Wis 🇭🇹 I'm trying to find where I'd heard it, from a Dr. It's not one or the other. Babies aren't confused about nipples.
