Yes I am at a loss as what to do about hitting…

@Lydia it’s hard and so upsetting

Haha yeah.. over the most random things! I just walk away after a while if distraction hasnt worked and if he doesn’t come to me I go and check in with him and offer a cuddle and just sit nearby so he knows I’m there. Or I play with his toys and eventually he comes over

Hi, we are having a really hard time with our daughter atm with her tantrums. This morning I ended up in tears… I’ve tried various things to calm her down but am finding that trying to talk to her or soothe her mid tantrum just keeps the tantrum going … I’ve tried staying nearby but basically not saying anything and on those occasions she hits out . I’m at a total loss. I know loads of toddlers go through this and at some point it will settle but it’s really testing my patience and sanity. No advice here. Just sharing our experience so that you see you are not alone x

Yes, the hitting is the worst and I struggle to know what to do. LOs sibling usually gets it (18mths older), and I end up putting one in the cot for a time out... honestly don't know what better way to deal with it

All I want for Christmas is a CALM child 😂😭

I just came on here to see if there was any advice and I’m SO glad that other people are going through it too. My LO hits and scratches and throws herself around when she doesn’t get her own way. She’s also really aggressive with my older child when she doesn’t let her have her own way. I’m praying it’s just a phase and she grows out of it because it’s not fun at all.
