There was a point that she was having more accidents then normal but she learned it was better to go in the potty then in her pants. We only used pull ups when she slept
Don’t stop - it will be ten times harder to start up again. We are on week 3 doing so well but today he had accident and yesterday aswell. He’s just turned 2. Make it fun, potty books, stickers. I would just send her to nursery in no nappy and let them help during the week. Our nursery led our potty training. It’s not an easy process but stopping and starting is confusing. Also nappy confusion - so just commit to not nappies outside nap and bedtime
@Allison do you have links to the videos?
@Sarah I’m at work right now and it’s been a little while so I will have to find them but yes! I can send them over after my shift😊
@Allison that would be great, thank you!
I'm going to speak to her nursery tomorrow as she keeps just peeing her pants even though I'm asking literally a minute before if she needs a pee, feel like we've hit a brick wall 😢 x
@Kayleigh how often do you ask? I was every 15mins and every 30mins would stick him on
Don't give up. We had this with my step son. He was the same age and was giving signs for aaaaaages before we started. Consistently telling us he needed one and going. Then if we didn't get to a toilet in time telling us when he'd gone. We put him in pants and he had one really good day and then would just stand there and wee in front of us 🤦🏻♀️. What we did was put him on the potty every 30 minutes for the next few days. Sometimes he'd go, sometimes he wouldn't then give him a MASSIVE "well done, good boy etc" when he did. He then was amazing for a few weeks then would find a spot in the garden away from us and go in his pants. It's a learning process no matter how 'ready' they are so try not to get disheartened! We also didn't ask. Because if we asked. The answer was ALWAYS no even if he was desperate. He's now 4 and is accident free, however still, a lot of the time of we ask him if he needs to go, the answer is no. Even though he's holding himself and wriggling 🤦🏻♀️
I definitely wouldn’t give up. My daughter is finally potty trained after soooo long of trying and she is 3. I went straight for the training undies and watched videos and read books about going on the potty to show her it’s easy and not scary. Potty training is definitely not an easy process but definitely don’t give up if you stop and try to go back it may make the next time around more difficult.
