Birth

Hello! I’m 29w pregnant first time and I will be delivering my baby at PCH. I want to know if there are mums here who can share their birth experiences at this hospital as I don’t know what to believe.

We had a great experience at PCH! Midwives were so calming and supportive.

I had great support, I was in there 5days 2 prior to birth and then 3 afterwards, and I had the best experience, all the midwives nurses were lovely ☺️ x

I'm due in 2 weeks and will be having it at PCH, I've had such a good experience with the antenatal clinic, hoping the birth will be just as good

We also had a great experience at PCH! I had an emergency c section so was there for a few nights and can’t say anything bad about it at all tbh. My husband was allowed to stay with me & the midwives were lovely

All the staff were lovely, we just struggled with communication between staff when they changed shift which resulted in medication being missed and our discharge being delayed. Support was great, especially from our midwife who was so lovely x

I’m so happy to hear all the good experiences! I want to give birth naturally, I heard that they don’t have gas and air, though I would choose epidural , what do u recommend?

I was yelled at to stay still during my epidural, got told i got myself into this mess i can get myself out, had an emergency c section and the mudwife the next morning yelled at me for not telling her i had a c section when i wasnt even awake when she came in beforehand. I would never have a baby at PCH again. Awful experience personally.

They do have gas and air, when I was there in March they just didn’t have it back in every room yet

I had gas and air but decided on an epidural too and then had a c section anyway

@Jodie 😢

They have gas and air now, there was a filter issue but it's all sorted now!

They do have gas and air it returned last year or early this year one of those :)
