I was told they like to give date closer to 37 weeks at least at my hosp x
I am 31+2 and have my appointment tomorrow with the consultant, which followed a brief phone call appointment about a month ago roughly.
@Brooke but have you had a consultation already?
I got my date really early on, 16w, but I think that’s because I previously had an unplanned section coming up 2 yrs ago. I would chase it again, even if you don’t get your date until right at the last second, it feels like you should have at least discussed it with the consultant by now. So many people I see on here don’t get their actual date until much much much later, some the week before, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get a date, even if you have any apt x
@Lauren thank you so much lovely! will call them tomorrow xx
@Sophie thank you so much hun! xxx
Yeah I have a consultant appointment every 2/3 weeks or so , my next one's on Wednesday I'll be 36 weeks so hoping they might just give me date slightly early if I push them on it, for my first we only had a week or 2 notice before the section date x
I had my consultant appt about elective cesarean at week... 29? In 32 now and last Thursday they booked me a date. I'd chase it
@Brooke my consultant was reluctant to book for before 39 weeks, but if baby shows up sooner you can obviously still have a section
@Dominique i asked at my 28 and 31 week midwife appointment and im still sat here at 33 weeks without hearing a word 😕xx
Not sure if it made a difference, but I told the midwife at my very first appointment that I wanted c section
What did they say? Can you not call the midwifery front desk for them to book a consultation
@Dominique yeah they been reluctant to tell me every time iv went I wasn't as pushy first time but this time I want to know the date sooner to arrange childcare etc not nessasarily bothered about physically having before I'm 39 weeks if that makes sense x
I had my birth choices appointment at 22 weeks with the consultant midwife. Then had the final appointment with the obstetrics consultant at 28 weeks who gave the green light. Then at 33 weeks my midwife confirmed my date booked for the section.

I had my consultant appointment at 32 weeks and then my pre op appointment showed on my app a few days later so I know my section will be within 48 hours of my pre op as I asked someone who works at my hospital but won’t get a definite date till 36 weeks
I had mine at 36 weeks 2 days and was booked for 37+6
I’ve had 1 consultant appointment over the phone at about 30 weeks where I spoke about an elective section. I then would remind my midwife at every appointment and kept checking my badger notes and I saw I have another phone appointment with a consultant at 36 weeks (next week) where apparently they will hopefully give me a date. But my midwife said if your low risk they tend to offer these a week before due date so 39 weeks x
I was given my c-section date during my consultant appointment at 32 weeks. I would chase up an appointment date!
