If you’re nervous then mayb you can wait a bit more till you’re confident. My son loves his purées especially fruit
What is blw?
@Sharon baby led weaning
What's the difference between BLW and purées? I thought BLW just meant they feed themselves, irrelevant of the food being a purée or not ?
I think I'm going to do a bit of both.
I’m doing a combination, (we’ve only just started) and so far we’ve had carrot puree and avocado sticks. If you choose nice soft mushy foods, it might make you feel a little more confident!
@Jas blw means that baby is given food into he same form we would eat it basically (although cut safely). So carrots just steamed or roasted and not mashed. The only mashed/puree things they would have is what you or I would, yogurt, mash potatoes, porridge etc. AND they feed themselves with your encouragement.
Definitely blw for me. I did it with my first and it was amazing to watch him discover and make choices himself.
Yes me you will be fine maybe try scrambled egg or mashed banana like I have been doing this is my second baby you will be fine x
