How long have you been trying to use a bottle? It takes weeks unfortunately and perseverance. I had a concert to go to and even twice a week wasn’t enough and husband struggled whilst I was out for the evening. Only reason I tried to use bottle. My baby is 4.5 months and I’m trying again so I can have a break. Size 2 is too fast flow for mine.
I unfortunately had the same issue and spent so much on different bottles and different teats. I have not got the patience unfortunately so we’ve moved onto trying to drink from a straw. When I had the issue people suggested: - get someone else to feed the bottle - let them play with the bottle - offer a bottle when not starving but not full - try the bottle same time each day - lanisol teat is most like nipples - give expressed milk before introducing formula Sorry if I’ve come across negatively. It was just my experience and I hope your little one takes the bottle soon
Has anyone else tried giving the bottle? Bf babies will very rarely accept a bottle when the boobies are right there! Even in the house... Some just don't ever accept the bottle... But there are other ways around it! When you start weaning and introduce an open or straw cup for water, this may be an option for milk!
I’ve been trying on and off since he was 4 weeks and have given up now. We’re going to try with a cup at 6 months
We introduced am expressed bottle at 3 weeks, she took it like a champ until 10 weeks when she went on strike and has refused point blank ever since no matter what we've tried. This last week we've introduced a Nuby Sip n Grip and she loves it- messy whilst she's learning but seems to work. Not a bottle, but means there may be some more freedom in the not so distant future! Edited to add that she's 4.5 months old
I think size 0 is just too slow for a 5months old to drink from. I would say try size 2 teat from MAM ☺️
