Baby not taking bottle

Hi mamas! My little boy is 4 months and is exclusively breastfed. I’ve started pumping and trying to get him to take the bottle but he completely refuses. We’ve tried before and it’s only worked when I’ve put him on the breast then quickly switched to the bottle but now he’s just turning away and pushing the bottle away. We use the tommee tippee bottles but have also tried the lansinoh ones. Is anyone else going through the same thing or have any tips?

Hi, I had the same issue until this evening. My baby just turned 5 months. We’ve tried so many bottles, Nanobene, Mam, tommee tippee, nuk Latex, and finally tonight he latched onto Nuk Perfect match. Completely different style of ‘nipple’ he even took it straight from me, which my first born wouldn’t do for a months after taking it from others. I’d definitely recommend the Nuk Perfect match bottle, I wish I tried it sooner! Also try having someone else give the bottle, there are some tips on this website too https://www.nct.org.uk/information/baby-toddler/feeding-your-baby-or-toddler/10-bottle-feeding-tips-for-breastfed-babies

We tried every brand available and the only ones the would take are Dr Browns. He then eventually took Tommee Tippee. I also found using little finger under the bottle to lightly hold his chin and also placing him on one leg and swaying helped. Honestly I tried so many things then one day he just figured it out so keep trying xx

Thank you both!! We’ll try using another bottle

Try using an open cup or a spoon. It’s the best way to not impact breastfeeding.
