Am I in the wrong?

We were at the store and my toddler was walking around looking at the Christmas decorations when an older man saw her and gestured to whoever that he was with and smiled. That was fine but then he tried to grab her ponytail, which is when I pushed his hand away and so “no no, thank you” and kept walking. I know they started talking about me but I feel weird with random people touching my daughter.

Wow, people are crazy! Walking up and touching a stranger’s kid? That was polite of you to say “no thank you.” In my culture, it is unacceptable to touch anyone’s hair. So since they don’t know you, I don’t believe you were wrong.

@Kay thank you, I know it could be cultural thing as a Hispanic we believe in “ojo” but I still feel like at least asking first or something, don’t just touch her

I love how you were assertive and classy in your response… because I guarantee you other people (like myself) would have made the time to “educate” him and his companion 😂 if they said anything other than an apology.

@Kay thank you!

i have smacked peoples hands for trying to touch my kids hair/faces. i do not get down like that
