Id love to know the way. My kid gives me a dirty look and asks in the most serious voice and tone I've ever heard from her to ask if I'm asking her to do something because its homework. Its both hilarious and exhausting at once.

Sorry this isn't really answering your question, but I personally wouldn't make my 5 year old do extra learning after school or "homework" or anything like that, and I wouldn't stress about early learning mistakes either. Just enjoy your time with them while you have them at home ❤️ maybe save the homework stuff for the summer? Just wanted to offer another perspective, but of course, each kid is different and you know what's best for yours!

I don’t make my kid do homework like at all. Instead for writing practice we make signs for whatever games he’s playing. For example he was playing something where he was looking for a monkey so we made “search party signs” and I’d spell the words for him to write on the sign. For sight words, I point to signs when we’re out and about and I’m like hey, can you find the sign that says zoo? And he’ll point to it or something. I just incorporate learning into our lives because honestly school can be overwhelming especially for kinders and the more of a battle it is the more they hate it. Make everything fun and a game and they’ll be more inclined to do it.
