Lol mine does! I have no idea why either I think it’s the formula. What does your baby drink?

My lo reflux got a bit better at 2 months and then worsened around 4. I’m Bf and have been off of dairy for sometime and it still worsened so we had to start her on a small dose of Pepcid which has significantly helped as well as keeping her upright after meals and burping frequently while feeding (which we were doing before starting meds but the spit up was still a lot and always chunky. Once it got to the point where it was in larger volume and more yellow tinged with bile, we considered Pepcid)

@Imani Similac total comfort

@Lili yea same he was ok for a little but I was putting a little cereal in his milk to thicken it up but then he lost his appetite so I stopped and now it got bad again I’m going to check with the dr about the Pepcid thank you 😊

Yes! His pediatrician told me to try to burp him after every ounce. Also to get him upright after for at least 15-30 minutes

Is your child still happy after spit up or do they get upset?

Yes so much! Like after every feed until the next. He started Pepcid last weekend and it’s so much better. It really isnt supposed to help with the spitting/throwing up mostly for the pain and discomfort but I’ve noticed an improvement in both. Also, I did try everything others wrote above prior to the medication ( minus the chiro, I’m a PT and personally and professionally just opposed to it with babies) but it seems to be working well!

@Annie you can tell he’s in a little discomfort for a sec then back to normal

Yup. Both hubby and I have severe acid reflux and same with both of our other kids (from previous relationships) little one is on a med for it. It’s helped a ton!!!

I've heard as long as they're not like ..really upset by it then they're just a "happy spitter" and don't have reflux

Babies still have immature GI systems at this age. 4-5 months is peak spit up period. As long as baby isn't upset, and is gaining on their own personal growth curve, it's ok!

That’s exactly what mine drinks. I switched her off of it for a bit and did notice it stopped
