@Lauren with you on this. Sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 30 depends if he's distracted and if it's for comfort but he is 5 months now and apparently they are alot faster at feeding now
Does that include comfort nursing or just drinking milk or both?
Newborn was about 40-50 mins Gradually decreased in time I'd say 5 mins by the time they were efficient
@✨Wis 🇭🇹 just drinking milk.
Agree with all of the above. It really depended on her age for me and other factors
In our usual setting (our bedroom with only dim led lights and the TV on but quiet) it takes ger like 5-10 minutes, depending how long since her last feeding.
Depends. During the day non nap times it usually around 5-10, nap and bedtimes it’s 20+ but it’s comfort sucking too
Yeah comfort nursing to sleep could be an hour but a quick sip/touch base can be 30 seconds 😂
Breastmilk changes all the time to accommodate your baby’s needs, which includes its calorific density. A baby can nurse for 5 minutes on one day and for 15 minutes on another but get the same amount of calories and/or nutrients.
When my daughter was around 4-6 months it was often 45 mins to an hour 🙈 I assumed that was normal but clearly not!
At the start it was just 5-15 minutes at a time but feeds were closer together, as time went on it went from 20-45 minutes depending on the feed, has he self weaned most feeds dropped to under 5 minutes expect night feeds
All of the above. It varies.
