Any mamas with high needs/highly sensitive babies?

How did y’all know that your babies were high needs/highly sensitive? My 7m old seems like one ever since he turned 4months old and I’m looking for support on how to keep baby happy and reduce fussiness in general? Cuz this lil dude can scream as if all he’ll braking loose and I’m quite triggered by it. It hurts my brain and my heart at the same time and triggers all kinds of responses like anger, frustration etc. I really need some help to understand what I can do for him and me to keep us both happy.

What are the sings ? My baby has 4 months and I’ve been thinking the same, and I can relate with the screaming

Some signs that might be pointing to him being highly sensitive are: - always moving reaching out of stuff or on the move. Never sitting still unless sleeping - very intense reactions to stuff he doesn’t like for example changing clothes or diapers or putting him down when he wants to be held - 0-100 in seconds no gradual escalation - extra fussy to stuff he doesn’t like - highly distractable

Obviously my baby is younger but he def has some of those, which make it makes sense

Sounds like my baby. I didn't know it was a thing. Even if now at 13 months I can see lots of difference between him and some other babies we hang out with.

@Aurélie what kind of differences?

My baby can't be quiet. He needs permanent movement. Sometimes he feels very uncomfortable around some people or at some places and we have to leave, very distractible. Last weekend we went to a circus with other baby friends. All the babies were watching the show. Mine watched for about 10 min and then walks in the alley again and again, climbing the seats,... (Fortunately it was quiet empty up there so we had space to move without annoying other people.)

Is this why my baby always cry and never looks happy ?
