Steri strips
The surgeon put steri strips on top of my scar. They are still hanging on. Did you wait for them to fall off or take them off? 19 days pp

@Sarah thanks ill get hubby to do it this evening. they didn't even mention that I had them 🙈 at baby's 5 day check I asked the midwife to check my scar cause I could see something white. Turns out it was the strips but I didn't think to ask about removal.
Don’t worry about it, doesn’t hurt and tbh you can have a good look. I think my steris were under my first bandage too. I kept it aired out and it healed lovely. I did overdo it one day and my end stitch opened a mm or two so I used a few steris to support that for a few days and it closed over again. If it helps, do it in the shower xx

I was told to take it all off at 5 days pp. It’s probably best to take them off as they aren’t clean anymore and let your scar air a bit out to heal. You can always get some new steris to give it support at the ends of that feels comfortable though xx
