That's fine I'm only intending being there one night 🤞🤞 last baby i had he was only allowed to visit for one hour twice a day!
My sister has just been induced at pinderfields last week, she stayed in hospital for at least 4 days and her partner stayed with her the full duration d
I gave birth in Pinderfields 2 weeks ago, I had an emergency section. I wasn’t taken to a ward we were on the recovery ward for the entire time I was there due to overcrowding. Due to this my partner was allowed to stay the entire time. So it could be the same when you give birth but don’t get your hopes up. I was told visiting hours on the ward are 8-8 for partners if you do make it on there. Good luck with your birth! X
@Shanice thanks!
they have changed the rules now yes your right, currently a partner can stay over with you now and second person can visit 8-10 i think and siblings can come anytime now too xx
@Elisha perfect thanks. We won't be introducing siblings until we go home x
I had a c section 5 weeks ago and my partner stayed with me for the full 2 days 😊
Had an elective section 5 weeks ago, my partner was allowed to stay with me on HDU after and on the ward - the ward has reclining chairs (ward 18) for partners which is great!
I was induced, in for 6 days and had an emergency c section. My partner was only allowed to stay 8am-10pm. Not allowed to stay overnight. I was told unless I had a side room he couldn’t stay.
@Emily when was this?
I had an emergency c section 5 weeks ago tomorrow and my husband was able to stay with me the 3 days I was in. It was a huge relief, I couldn't have done it without him there.
Partner can stay whilst you’re being induced and in active labour and also in recovery any time after birth but once you’re moved to a labour ward with baby I believe it’s 8-10. I had an emergency c section and once on the ward you’ll have to buzz a nurse to pass you your baby or help you up x
@Hollie I was there yesterday and asked midwife and we have a leaflet about it, birth partners can now stay for the duration of your stay 😊
@Alana wow that’s changed from only April! However there’s no such thing as sleep on the ward (or anytime soon in those days 😂) so depending on the time of birth - your partner may be better going home for a few hours of 5/6 solid sleep if you live local x
i think ur partner can only stay the first night once ur baby is here that’s what it was 4 months ago with my son and visiting hrs for ur partner is 8-8 while other family is allowed from 10 xxx
