Baby babbling or talking

Yeah mine just pterodactyl screeches still. Occasionally does a single babble (like “buh”) but not doing canonical (“buhbuhbuhbuhbuh”) yet. I made the mistake of googling and went down an autism rabbit hole.

Sorry to hear that but if it helps I am there with you! Even if it is autism it’s not a death sentence. It’s so hard as a FTM to know if it’s normal or worrying. I have 2 autistic niblings so I’m more aware/concerned than most perhaps too.

I’m so so worried 😟 my baby just screeches and I try so hard to get him to babble but he’ just laughs at me :( I’ve got my HV soon for his 9-12 review so will bring it up I just feel so worried and like I’ve failed x

@Jasmine you definitely haven’t! It could be outside reasons like is he a walker more than a talker for example? Ie has he been prioritising crawling and motor skills? I know someone whose baby crawled at 5 months, walked at 9 months, and is still not speaking at 20 months.
