Child not talking much yet?
My little girl is 20 months, and doesn’t talk much at all. She babbles alot and only says a few words ‘bye’ or ‘shoe’ ’apple’ not even mummy or daddy. Apart from that, she loves playing and is a bubbly child and is a friendly child.

I know a little boy who was non-verbal up until nearly 3, then he just started chatting away loads. I think some babies just like to keep us on edge 🫠
My son is 21 months today and I could have written this post. I have contacted my GP and I am in the process of a referral.
I was so worried my son wasn’t saying anything but showed his understanding through non verbal at 19 months. After the birth of his brother, he all of a sudden came out with everything! We’re now up to 80 words and he will be 21 months on the 20th. It really can just happen overnight x

My girls very similar to this! She says mama and dada too and a couple more words than you’ve mentioned but only when it suits her lol never for show 😅 we still have time until they’re 2 & then we can start worrying I think 🙈 it’s hard not to worry though when there’s so many babies the same age talking away
