Just venting!
Ugh I’m frustrated right now. So my fiance started a new job about a month ago as an HVAC apprentice, and today he told me he called this guy lazy and kind of told him off because he half assed something. It made me upset, and kinda mad because he complains that this other guy he works with is a hot head and doesn’t treat other co-workers right. I told my fiance to say sorry to the guy tomorrow. Am i right to be kind of upset at him? I just don’t think it’s right what he said, especially on 90 probation since he just started and we cannot afford for him to lose his job. I also understand my fiance wasn’t in the right head space today since he found out his father has a heart blockage. I also understand that a co-worker half assing things is frustrating but he didn’t go about it the right way.

@Rachel he was the one who told me what he said to his coworker. I don’t believe how he handled it was professional, and what he said and how he said it could be used against him in his review. I’m not going to let him jeopardize a good job by not maintaining a professional attitude. Nor let him deal with it where it potentially gets him fired. He appreciates my opinion and my honesty. We’re both stubborn but respect that sometimes it’s better to be the bigger person and realize what was said/done was not okay.
Coming from a woman in HVAC, the environment is completely different. I wouldn’t worry about it. Most men have mouths way worse than that 😂

You shouldn't really be getting involved with things that happen at your partners work. Let him deal with things the way be wants to deal with them.
