Breastfeeding

Hi I’m almost 5 months postpartum I’m nursing and pumping and I’m having trouble with my supply. Before 4 months I had a really good supply I over produced but then I got my period again and I’m only making 2-4 ounces a pump and I used to make 5-7/8 a pump. I drink hot mothers milk tea and lots of water. I eat oats and try not to stress but I’m honestly so stressed. I pump at least 4 times a day and on the other boob when nursing. What else can I do?

Eat more carbs maybe, fresh fruits and veggies and try to develop coping skills with the stress…try to find ways to relax as hard as that may be…I am just starting virtual therapy my anxiety I also have a faith and music is always relaxing and I tend to emotionally eat so I am careful with that…postpartum I also took herbs to help with anxiety and sleep, as well as anemia, and also hormone balance and they all worked really well but I would say do your research about holistic methods that are safe for breastfeeding because I find that mother nature is always the best for healing

I would try coconut water or if you don’t like it, try body armor. You could low on electrolytes which would mean you’re not retaining your water and being really hydrated. And I would even suggest a calming bath (you could even massage your breasts) I always have a big let down when I’m the bath so I pump right after.

@Yasmina thank you for the advice and what herbs did you take for anxiety and hormone balance?
