@Sharnee hello, thank you so much. I’ve just done some research and I am now put off baby rice haha. What about baby porridge? Is that any better ? x
@Sinéad if it’s in bottles probably not but again they do go through a regression & leap so it may not keep him asleep but if you feel it will help speak with his HV/GP and you can see what they suggest. You’ll get mixed advice on here - some from mums who will say no, 6m as their digestive systems aren’t developed and may have gastrointestinal issues and some that will say they started at 4m no issues. Personally I was advised to start my babe on purées/solids at 4m but due to other health concerns not related to sleep.
It's very normal for babies to wake for a feed during the night still. All babies are different, don't worry too much about it, you'll get back into routine again. You could maybe introduce bits of baby porridge once 4 months old (you can get 4+ porridge) x
@Nicole thank you so much xx
At 4m they go through major sleep regression and a leap (as well as possibly teething etc). If your aim is to keep him full it will keep him full but it may not keep him asleep, rice cereal offers no nutritional value whatsoever and basically fills them up on nothing - it also contains arsenic. It’s up to you mama but just some things to consider 🤷🏻♀️
