George Elliot or Coventry

I had my first baby at Leicester royal and had an awful experience, the treatment from staff was horrible and I’m desperate to have a positive time this time. I will be having an elective section this time and I like the fact that birth partners are able to stay overnight on the post natal wards at Coventry I think this would make a massive difference for me. But interested to know people’s opinions on both? Thanks

I had my baby in August at the George Elliot and they were fab, they went with what I wanted. Although visiting times I don't know if they've changed for birthing partners but he could only stay 8am until 8pm although that may have changed now

Personally I went with uhcw even though George elliot is closer I refuse to go there for anything as when I was about 8 weeks pregnant I had some bleeding (which continued my whole pregnancy) and they didn't scan me or even get me seen by anyone like a midwife etc I just had one of the a &e doctors tell me it was a miscarriage and sent me on my way. Luckily I just had a feeling and went to uhcw after where they told me everything was fine with baby I now have a beautiful thriving nearly one year old boy x

@Lauren I hope you submitted a formal complained! That’s terrible.

I had my baby boy at George Elliot this July. I had to have an emergency C-section as both baby and I were in distress and baby was taken to special care unit. It wasn’t perfect and let’s face it nowhere is but I can say both baby and I were well looked after overall.
