Contractions but long cervix

Has anyone experienced contractions / strong period pain that comes and goes in a pattern, but had a long cervix when checked? I’m 36+5 and all day today I’ve had period pain that started off constant and through the day it’s started coming and going. I went to triage to get checked and they did a cervix exam and said my cervix is still long and they don’t think I’ll go into labour in the next 24 hours but if it gets worse etc then to go back, it died down for a little bit but now the pains back again 🥲

Could be braxton hicks, it could be v early labour and sometimes it takes days for these contractions to make enough changes to your cervix for you to go into active labour

@Clare I did think Braxton hicks initially but they’ve been getting so painful that I’m having to breathe through them 😩 hopefully they start to die down again

I’ve had this everyday for 2 weeks. I’ve also lost my mucus plug. Cervix is firm and high and baby isn’t engaged though 😩

@Rebecca oh god I can’t cope with this for 2 weeks 😩 I’m still in quite abit of pain and I’ve got so much pressure going on down there currently and all my hips are hurting so bad I want to cry 😂

Same! The pressure is so horrible it feels like my vagina is going to fall out 😂 the uncomfortableness in my bladder too is so so horrible! Makes it incredibly hard to walk. My hips are agony and the contraction like pains means I’m basically housebound. Hoping it’s not too long for you! x
