Hey so I was induced because I wasn’t dilating as fast as I was contracting. It was a great decision for me. Wishing you a healthy delivery

@Karina thankyou, I don’t know many people or reasons why they are induced

I was induced because my waters were leaking but labour didn’t start on its own. When that happens there’s a risk of infection so it’s recommended to have an induction.

@Sophie that makes sense, I’m thinking they may induce me due to baby not growing. Was the induction painful?

I was induced for the same reason as others. My contractions started but didn't really progress the way we'd hoped and by the time I was 24hrs without any sleep I needed a helping hand!

I was induced too. I was not dilating to give birth so they induced me. I didn’t think about it at all until last week of my pregnancy. But my situation put me through that way anyway.

I did a hypnobirthing course while I was pregnant and that really helped me to stay relaxed during labour. It was very intense but I don’t remember finding it particularly painful, as such. I used gas and air and a TENS machine 😊

I went into labour naturally but was put on the drip to help my contractions to progress me further as my waters had broken and we were at risk of infection

I was inducted because I had hypertension (which can be dangerous to me and baby if I went over 40 weeks)

I don’t remember the exact reasons but probably because I was having high blood pressure and on top of that, I also had preeclampsia.. I was induced (unplanned) at 37 weeks + 6 days. My doctor had to pop my water though.

I was induced because I was overdue, struggling with extreme back pain and was in a slow labour with contractions for the full weekend before without any signs of water breaking or dilating. I made the choice in the end that she needed to come out and I was 41+5 when I gave birth. But unless there's a medical reason to do so next time, I won't be getting another induction.

I was induced for a pretty unique reason tbh- was having reduced movements which can be monitored daily but I lived very very very far from a hospital and didn’t have a car. So at 37 weeks I was induced instead of having to stay in hospital for 3 weeks or get a taxi everyday to get there

I was induced as blood flow to the cord had decreased. My baby was measuring small anyway so didn’t want any further risks 😊
