Dropping the dummies

I had grand plans to do this at 18 months but she’s had teething, hf&m and covid since! So we are at 19 months now. Throw at me all your advice on weaning off dummies pretty please. She only has them for sleep. They ‘live in her bed’ as it were. She still breastfeeds for comfort in the night if she wakes.

I just took my son’s dummy away. Didn’t ween him off. Maybe you could give that a go, go cold turkey x

Same as above I thought about putting a hole in it etc but decided to go cold turkey, first 2 nights she cried but after that all okay!xx

My boy stopped using it when he caught hand foot and mouth. He was initially holding it to fall asleep still, but I replaced it with a soft cloth thing for comfort and he seems to have forgotten about them
