Once they take the dressing off you’re able to x

I was wondering the same thing I’m nearly 6weeks pp they took my dressing off the day after my surgery and looks all healed but still scared

Just read NHS website says “when your dressing is removed… you can have a bath or shower as usual” just jumped in my first bath😍

Thank you @Kelsey-elaine

i did after 6 weeks

I was told 6 weeks for a bath but I showered the 1st day post op.

Haha yeah I’d say after 6/8 weeks when you’re fully closed and for me it was when I was done bleeding because I did not want to sit in that

You’re not supposed to “soak” until your stitches have dissolved which usually takes up to 6-8 weeks. If you had your 6 week pp appointment they should have cleared you

I would say when you can be certain the wound has closed. The norm is 6-8 weeks but mine took more like 10.

I believe it’s after the stitches or glue is gone, needs to be fully healed

You’re able to bathe, they recommend letting the soap fall down your body from the top, but once your dr says you can take off the dressing or they take it off in office then you’re able to bathe as normal just be careful of the incision site

I was told to wait until my check at 8 weeks and was given the all clear to bath x

I went home the day after my c-section and was told I can bath straight away. It’s just as long as you don’t stay in for a prolonged period of time but you’ll be absolutely fine if it’s been 8 weeks lol! Enjoy x
