mucus plug
hi, so i lost some of my plug on tuesday 12 hours after my sweep and since then ive had nothing, i just went to the toilet about 20 mins ish ago and lost some more but this time its more snot coloured, last time it was clear. is this normal? i’ve been told to look out for “green/dark green” so idk if it’s my anxiety playing on me😅

thank you ladies!!🥰 i really hope things start moving soon, i have my induction on monday and i just hope he’s here before then on his own because id prefer to have him completely naturally🥲.. he’s just extremely stubborn xxx
also both times i’ve lost my plug it’s been small amounts but fairly enough to notice xx

All shades of snot are ok 😂 It could be bloody, it could be really dark, it could have green tinge as well because when you have a sweep there could be a small bleed from the cervix that gets absorbed by the mucous and as blood disintegrates it could have all shades (look at bruises). The green they warned you from was most likely meconium in the amniotic fluid- when your baby does a poo.

My mucus plug was not any shade of green. After my first sweep I lost lots of mucus plug initially and then nothing. It was after my second sweep, a week later, that labour started.
