Colostrum

Hey girls hope everyone’s surviving haha 😅🙃 So I’ve got a load of colostrum in my freezer that I collected and never used. But I really tried bloody hard to get that and want to use it up and just wondering how can I give it to my little boy.. can I just give him a syringe? Or put a few in a bottle? Idk 🤷‍♀️ He’s got a start of a cold and I’m sure I read that colostrum is really good for when they’re poorly? So thought might be a good time to give it too him. Just a bit clueless so any advice I’d be very grateful 🥰 xx

Sorry I’m unsure, but if you have Facebook there is a really good group called ‘Breastfeeding and Lactation Support UK’ run by specialists and they’ll be able to help

Yeah you can give colostrum from the syringe to help with a cold hun x

@Becky ooo okay I’ll check this out! @Nikita ahh brilliant I’ll do this then. Thankyou!

I’m in the exact same position and have some breast milk frozen too. I’m planning to use it in his food when I wean him and I’ve read you can give them milk baths which can be good for them 😊

I have lots in the freezer too. I give it to my little one if my toddler is poorly to try and help not catch it. I also give the syringes to my toddler when he’s poorly and have noticed it really does help 😊

I would give one dose to prevent sickness and keep the rest for the future sickness. but that's not a professional or medical opinion just mine
