I’ve been induced for both of mine. Both similar but different I would say try to relax and not compare to others as every experience is very different. My first I was given the pessary (but this can be different depending on how your cervix presents at the time) i then started having contractions within a few hours and baby was born the next morning. My second I was given the pessary again and baby was born that night by emergency section (totally unrelated to the induction). The lady in front of me at my first she was in for 5 days having had 2 pessaries and nothing worked. Stay mobile keep moving be prepared to be in for a good few days.
I think it’s important to know that you can be in there a while, I wasn’t necessarily given all the information. And it’s can be very disheartening when people are coming and going and you are still sat there. Just be prepared for a long stint and fingers crossed you will be quick. I wouldn’t say I had a horror story more than it unfortunately didn’t work for me and feel like it’s something you need to prepare yourself for because again I wasn’t told any of this. I ended up having a c section but had a really lovely experience in there 😊. Fingers crossed the induction does work for you and fast x
I'd day heads up the balloons are the worse pain I've ever experienced . Good luck mama you got this ❤️
I was in duvet in may I had gel at 2.30 on the Sunday afternoon and my boy was born at 1.25 early hours Monday morning. They weren’t expecting it to be so quick as he was my first baby I started getting contractions quite quickly.
I had a really lovely induction with my second child. It varies depending on which method they use. I had a pessary. Inserted, checked after 24h and it had worked. Waited for a bed on delivery suite, waters broken and a baby in my arms less than 5h later. Lovely unmedicated vaginal delivery. Be patient as it can take a while! Take some stuff to keep you entertained. Keep moving, walks or bouncing on the ball etc.
