Night feeds

How do you and your partner share night feeds? (Bottle fed) he’s open to doing more as I currently do them all as he’s working but I don’t know what arrangement would be best. He doesn’t wake up to noise unless she’s crying lots ( she usually jiffles for 10/15 before crying ) so I get woken up anyway even if I’m not feeding and can’t get back asleep until she’s back asleep so it’s pointless allocating him a time slot. It seemed to work well me going to bed early. Him doing the feeds untill 11/12 and then coming to bed with her but that means little time together as husband and wife and him having to stay awake untill late. Interested to find out how you all work it! She wakes every 2 hours and 6 weeks old.

At that age we would go to bed at the same time and my partner would do the feed before we fell asleep. I would do all the night time feeds and he would do the 5am feed (gets up at 7 for work normally anyway and would go back to sleep after that feed)That worked best for us. I’m like you and can’t get back to sleep after I’m awake whereas he is asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow 🤣🤣

Hubby has never done a night feed, he’s a heavy sleeper so doesn’t wake unless he’s screaming and similar to your LO mine snuffles and that wakes me immediately I’m already up and can’t go back to sleep until he’s asleep so I think what’s the point may as well do them all. He usually does the last feed before bed, but if LO first feed of the day is 5/6 I still end up doing that

I do night shift every night as he works away but when he’s home i still do night feeds 😂 i stay up late most nights anyway and he goes to bed early so I don’t mind and he gets up early and lets me sleep zx

I EBF, but I expressed a few times at the beginning and my husband would feed him late in the evening and early in the morning (he works from home so he can have him until 9). Even now he still keeps him those hours although he brings him back when awake and hungry, but at least I can sleep even if he doesn't/he fusses while asleep. I go to bed early (21) and I miss having the evening on the sofa, but I would be awake anyway during the night even if he could feed him, and eventually (🤞🤞🤞🤞) he will sleep more during the night so I can stay up a bit longer 😅 He's 5 weeks and still sleeping 2h at a time (and mostly very loudly)

Well me and my partner done shifts we started it from 12am (if she woke up before then it was anyone game) but he took 12am til 5am and I got 5am til 10am means we both got a sleep and it was good as you slept between these hours as well xx

None I do them all 🫠 even on weekends when he says he will but doesn't haha

I always woke up and stayed awake for every night feed too 🫠 I exclusively pumped, so he did one night feed while I pumped, I did the rest. We also took turns between who went to get the bottle and who stayed in the bedroom to change her. He always fell immediately back to sleep while I fed her. He would also get up with her in the morning, take her downstairs and do the first morning feed (6am), so I could sleep in until he left for work around 8am.

We have a specific night that he does, rather than certain feeds. So he does every Friday night and I sleep in a separate room so that I can actually sleep!
