Iv been breastfeeding my little girl for a year now and I noticed this at 5-6 months but it’s basically your milk regulates to your baby’s needs x but if your ever worried speak to your heath visitor
Your supply will be more regulated there shouldn’t be any need for you to be engorged unless you go an unusually longer time without feeding 😀
@Jess LO does have wet nappies but I feel like they’ve become less, what’s considered normal this stage? LO seems to be satisfied between feeds tbh
You want soft. Soft is good. If you can, keep checking bubs weight periodically (I try to do fortnightly). It's the reassurance I need. Typically 5-6 heavy wet nappies per 24 hours. Sunken fontanelle is one of the signs of dehydration, so you can always keep an eye on that.
@Kirsten LO has wet nappies but not always heavy. No sunken soft spot. How much weight increase is expected after a couple of weeks?
Soft boobs = happy boobs 😊
My 5 month old has been averaging about 100 grams a week since about 4 months. Prior to was 150 grams. Both are normal and in fact the last month she's climbed centiles.
Iv heard around 4-5months your body regulates what baby needs and shouldn't feel engorged, is baby still having wet nappies and feel satisfied after feeds? X
