Typically the cut off is 6 hours before surgery for formula and breastmilk. However you can call the hospital and they'll let you know what they prefer but babies that young are at risk of dehydration if they go too long without fluids so 6 hours is best
You can give him water instead of formula
For surgery the stomach should be completely empty to decrease the risk of aspiration. That means he shouldn’t have anything at all (except essential medications) after midnight Monday. Not formula, not water, nothing.
After midnight is fine he should be sleep by then. My son has hydrocele and his surgery is in January and they said he cant have anything after midnight as well and that goes for any food or liquids.
Yeah I would say nothing not even formula unfortunately
How old is your son
