School run with newborn

me and my husband have been thinking for a while now to have a second child. We have a beautiful 4y old daughter that started school in September . I’m obviously on board of the idea but the only thing worrying me is the school runs every morning with a newborn.. I’d love to know other mums experience, was it hard juggling 2 kids especially newborn with feeds ect in the morning? I’m also worrying about baby crying at the bus stop (my girl goes by bus) Any advice? Thanks. I don’t want this to be the only obstacle stopping me x

My older child has quite advanced special needs and makes caring for him and keeping him safe out and about very challenging, the school runs was what I was most worried about but I just wake my baby in the morning to ensure she has a breakfast feed, a play and get her dressed then give her a little top up feed before we leave, which means she's then tired and so she usually has her first nap on the day while I'm doing the school run so I can give full attention to her brother

Ok so my son was 8 when I had my daughter about to go into year 4 but obviously still required taking to school etc And we found it relatively easy (maybe because she was 6 weeks before he went back to school so was in some type of routine) but we just got up early, sorted breakfast for eldest.. bottle for baby as eldest was getting dressed and then either bum and changed or bum and back into pjs/babygrow until we got home and properly started the day! I found it harder as she got older as she would want breakfast etc and that was a PAIN!

My eldest was 4 when I had my 2nd, so I was doing pre school drop offs then school. My middle child is 10 and my baby is 6 months, so again doing school runs! It's fine! If I can see she's due a feed I'll just feed her slightly earlier or after we get back (I drive so can't do on the way)

My eldest is 9 and I have a 14 week old. School runs have been interesting! It's taken me this long to to work out how best to do them and there are still some days where I end up with a screaming baby 🙄 eventually you will be able to time feeds either side of the school run My biggest thing is get a car seat that attaches to your pram. It shouldn't be used as a pram all the time but just during the school run, when baby is asleep and you have to get them out of the car. Unless, you're lucky enough to live in walking distance of the school. I do not and I have to wake my baby up, getting in and out of the car x
