My little boy formula fed, he’s doing the same. He did reduced the amount of bottles per day, he skipped 4m regression too, and he’s not sleeping well last few days, waking up every 2h, and he’s being fussy and crying too for no apparent reason. So I do firmly believe he’s on sleep regression too, plus leap 5. I’m so exhausted. I don’t have any advice but I’m in the same boat xx Looking for answers too
My 5 month old is the same, she’s always gone every 3/4 days since she was a few weeks old. We were taking lactulose for a few months and it did seem to make her a bit more regular but not by much. My local breastfeeding volunteer advised feeding in a darkened room to stop any distractions while feeding and it’s helped the fussiness a little bit. Currently going through the sleep regression, waking up after 2 hours 😢 but I’m hoping it will pass soon! Xx
Hi, my little girl is the same. I spoke with the HV last week on the phone as my girl would wake every 45 min in the night from midnight onwards. Turns out she wasn’t getting enough milk as she’s too busy looking at everything else. As @Amy I am now feeding her (EBF) in our bedroom, with no other distractions; that has helped massively and she’s feeding for a good 5-7 minutes now instead of the 2-3 mins beforehand. Her sleep has settled back to her normal (which is waking every 3 hours).
@amy @Francine I’ve also found she’s overall feeding more calmly from a bottle but I have fed her in the darkened room as it’s night time routine so I’ll try that throughout the day tomorrow. She’s still feeds quite well (I think!) it’s just taking longer because of the distractions/writhing/upset! @Ilenia @Sophia we’re all clearly in the same boat and I do keep saying ‘this will pass’ which it will! It’s just horrible seeing them get frustrated and upset isn’t it. I appreciate the responses and will see how we get on! Hope everyone comes out of this soon x
My 5 months old is the same although he’s got cold and cough a d also teething. We didn’t get any sleep last night. I’m guessing it’s everything.
